Well EDM doesnt and I think trading a first w/ Chabot for Askarov could look brutal for the Sens.

Barrie is easily worthless.

Not a guarantee at all.

He's behind, on the PP:

Hes behind:

for top 4 minutes (he should not play his off side).

So he'll be a third pair, no PP tp little PP time. Not suitable at all for Barrie.
Easily worthless to the Sens imo.

All this for a goalie whose - checks notes - done nothing.

I dont know man. I think youre writing off Lauzon and Barrie too easily.
It brings depth for Ott especially in a position where they need stability.
I have faith Askarov will be a good bet.

By your rationale, why care about trading away a 1st? It's "done nothing".

Really? That Chabot trade is awful

Barrie is UFA and has always been bad defensively. Lauzon has no value

Chabot and a 1st for a goalie prospect?

Chabot has the 2nd highest TOI/GP since 2018-19 and is 17th in PPG among D-men since then

He is also one of the best transitional players in the NHL

Not too late to erase this. Chabot and Barrie are not in the same stratosphere. Scouting reports from hockeydb.com (raw stats) are the worst.
