Lindholm

Created by: Bruins40

Initial Creation Date: Nov. 12, 2023

Description
This is assuming Lindholm goes to market in this scenario as the flames believe they can get him to stay by playing .500 hockey the rest of the way. Again this is MY hypothetical scenario. And that Don Sweeny puts on his spending hat as they'll need to put up a large sum to outbid others. I also believe they'll make a trade for a RD it probably won't be Mitchell but that's above my paygrade.

Have to think Lindholm gets less than that. Then upgrade your RHD bottom pair.

If Debrusk doesn't pick up the pace, no way he gets that deal. Just another benefit for the cap or Swayman gets more $.

Sway gets more too though. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nitpicking but i doubt they offer Quinn Olson a contract.

Lindholm has had one elite season. Paying him elite money as he starts his 30s doesn’t seem like the best idea.

Lindholm I feel if he does somehow hit open market it’s going to be competitive.

I left some money on the table I wouldn’t be surprised if sway matches Ullmark or gets a little more. Olsens rights expire this summer and he was a 3rd round pick so maybe they sign him to get a further look but I honestly have no clue.

Lindholm I think will be a competitive market as he’s really the only true 1C on the market under 30 but if he gets less and lower 9 mil I could see it. I agree with Debrusk I was going with rumors from earlier so that was a lapse on my end and same with swayman I didn’t do well with those two.

Let Calgary over pay another forward till they are 37.

Unless out centers keep up the strong play so far they could get desperate to stay relevant

Vastly overpaying lindholm 9 would get it done all day long and beat out all other competitors he likely signs 8.5

Please don't give Lindholm almost 10 million. He isn't worth it

Agreed, Hertl is at 8.1 on a recently signed deal with almost identical ppg and similar age, so somewhere around 8.5 makes a lot of sense

I figure Sway gets somewhere between 6 and 6.5 depending on term. Not always sure with goalies though
