Probably not, defense needs to play better. I just though Gibson to Detroit could be something.

Dostal is still fairly raw, I don't think we're in a position to move on from Gibson yet, especially with such a young Defense, he is a major calming presence back there.

Yeah but with the way he is playing he would be pretty expensive. The Wings are currently in a playoff spot but after going 4 and 1 in their first 5 games they are 4-4-2 in their last 10. If they do make the playoffs they really shouldn't be buyers. How many of the Wings current players will be on the team when they are contenders? Maybe 5 or 6 forwards but only 3 that will be in the top 6, 2 defensemen and maybe Husso as a back up.

Ducks are probably not interested in moving Gibson at all with how he is playing to start the season. I really like the tandem that we are running, Gibson needs more rest than he has received in recent years, and Dostal slowly increasing his number of starts is likely the best course of action as he is still pretty young. That said, everyone has a price but it is likely way higher than Detroit should consider. So unless you are willing to overpay to bring him in, he likely finishes the season (probably even his contract) with Anaheim
