  1. 2024 3rd round pick (SEA)
  2. 2026 3rd round pick (SEA)
Additional Details:
26 3rd if Seattle makes the playoffs in 24 or 25.

Team has currently allowed the third most goals. Peeke is young and reliable. Would be a good bridge piece well Kraken develop. Also has familiarity with some players on the team.

CBJ
  1. 2024 1st round pick (LAK)
  2. 2025 3rd round pick (LAK)
  3. 2026 3rd round pick (LAK)
Additional Details:
26 3rd if LA makes the conference finals in either 24 or 25.

Laine seems like a player that wants an LA atmosphere and would flourish. I remember a few other deals we have made that have worked their way. Their players never work for us though. So finding the money to dump or team to pick up players is on them. CBJ just wants the picks.

CBJ
  1. Commesso, Drew
  2. 2024 1st round pick (CHI)
Additional Details:
Columbus asks for two reasonable pieces for a player who will flourish with Bedard at center. We just want to cut ties and build around Johnson, Fantilli, Jircek, and company

Chicago is deeper into a rebuild than Columbus is. Why would they pay good young talent capital for Gaudreau?

If CHI wanted Gaudreau...wouldn't they just court Kaner and keep their assets?

How would the Kings afford Laine?

Even if Johnny Hockey agreed to waive, Hawks easily decline. That '24 1st isn't getting traded. And I doubt the Hawks want that $10m cap hit on their books. And the Kings decline as well. They can't afford Laine's cap hit.

You do know that Stan Bowman is no longer the general manager of CHI, right? haha. We aren't giving CBJ another kings ransom for a player they just signed for nothing as a UFA, and we definitely wouldn't do it at this point in our rebuild.
