I know EDM has been poor this season but let’s not act like RNH didn’t have 35+ goals and 100+ points last season.

Let’s not act like Ullmark isn’t a Vezina Winner, and Debrusk isn’t a 20-35 goal scorer. Also RNH was a power play merchant and hasn’t been over a point per game in his career any other year then last year. Let’s not overrate him lmao

You can claim last season to be an outlier for RNH but it was also an outlier for Ullmark who also only played 49 games. That’s a 1A amount of games, not full starter. As for Debrusk, his best season last year is RNH’s average season.

Outlier and the guy is still playing Unbelievable this year? As well as for the 49 games it’s because of Swayman who’s also playing incredible. Ullmark is completely capable of playing 60-70 games and no team is going to hesitate because he played only 49 games at an unbelievable level. Addressing Debrusk, im not saying their value is the same I’m saying Debrusk + Ullmark is worth a kings ransom.

Sigh 🙄

RNH - full NMC - not waiving

EDM is on Ullys NTC - confirmed - not waiving.

🤷🏻‍♂️

Did you get around to mapping a hotkey for that yet?

If you think he wouldn’t waive for Boston then that’s just delusional.
Also just because it says Edmonton is on the list doesn’t mean he’d decline (it’s a 16 team one btw)
NMC doesn’t mean a deal can’t happen 😭😭

He loves EDM, took a discount to stay there, and the full NMC so he could stay. It would take something monumental to get him to leave. It’s not another team, regardless of who that team is, that will do it because he’s where he wants to be.

Just because it’s your favorite team does not mean everyone wants to be here.

I can name 2 off the top of my head that blocked trades to Boston the last couple of years.

Just because he took a discount doesn’t mean his team isn’t playing horrible and is talking a major move
Who’d decline playing for a team/city that’s desirable while that team is also the best in the league, I can also guarantee those guys that declined, either declined due to a better location or a team that was at the top (CURRENTLY BOSTON)
It’s not just because they are my favorite team it’s also because Boston is a place people wanna play lmaooo

You’d be wrong. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wayne Simmonds blocked a trade to Boston when they were in 1st place then was traded to Nashville who was fighting for final playoff spot.

It always makes me laugh when fans bristle at the notion someone would not want to play for their team. It happens. Regardless of circumstance.

Huh I wonder why a black man in a notoriously white dominated sport would block a trade to a notoriously racist city? Use your head man Jesus Christ 😭🫵🏻

“ He was not the only one”🤓
Point is not every guy wants to be in Boston. But the ones that want to win do.
Giroux is the latest I can think of (Florida was stacked and it’s Florida)
Just saying Nuge won’t waive because he signed a long term deal and won’t leave because “he likes it there” is so so so dumb and is based off your own personal opinion.

Actually it’s his opinion, publicly stated.

Unlike, “why wouldn’t ‘insert name’ want to play for my team, we’re good”. Which is a personal opinion. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s not an opinion it’s a historical fact in the NHL. Players that are good and have a choice, go to winning teams. Not an Opinion rather then just saying he won’t leave because he signed a deal lol. Also the guy obviously isn’t going to say I want out in front of media, or say he would except a trade. He’s a professional athlete. Jesus man…

Can we choose not to minimize one player to pump up another? Ullmark and RNH are very good players. Their teams are lucky to have them. As much as I like RNH or even Hyman, I believe that Ullmark is more important to Boston winning than either one of them would be

It’s also fact when people are happy where they are and don’t have to leave, they won’t. They are human beings first. Players second.

Of course circumstances can change at the drop of a hat. But it’s very early in long term deal in the place he wants to be. Do the math.

As that contract and him get older and if the team is fading he likely will want try to go somewhere for a shot at the cup. But everything points to that being a last resort. Bourque did it, did not want to leave, but he didn’t do it with 5 years left on his contract and I doubt he would have.

Can’t keep both Swayman and Ullmark going forward. Simple as that.

1. Bourque has nothing to do with RNH
2. I’m sure he’s very happy with his production and the current state of the team 🙄
3. People first is true however Bieksa spoke not to long ago team success and personal performance creeps into players lives and I’m sure the terrible Edmonton media doesn’t help his “love” for Edmonton.

We can certainly keep both through next year if we choose

My assumption is we try to build up Bussi and see where he’s at next summer. If he’s ready, then maybe you consider it. He will require waivers next year and that will be a consideration.

After two years of great play, my assumption is Ullmark will carry more value in a year where he can extend immediately
