Brodie only brings a first back if he’s 50% retained and he’s well worth it basically tanev tanev was a top 3 defender 3/3 times in the last three years Brodie was 2/3 times but last year was the best defensive defender in the league tanev hasn’t done that and if tanev gets a 1st and a 3rd Brodie gets a first all day long

If the Canucks are trading a 1st, I think they are trying to replicate the Hronek trade. I don't think they will move that pick for a 33-year-old rental, not even our boy Chris Tanev. You can do better than that if you're smart (again, see Hronek).

Canucks don't need to add a LHD even if he can play the off side. We already have Cole and Soucy who can do that along with rumoured interest in Zadorov/Tanev.
