Super interesting idea. I don't think I know why Tampa would make the deal, cap space for Stamkos?? If that's the case then Hanifin and Zadorov are likely rentals which seems crazy to blow up a D core so you're left with Cernak and three quarters of a season from Hedman. Flames almost certainly aren't parting with their 1st round pick this year though, if they were, I would think a 25 year old top 4 D man with term would definitely be on their radar. Interesting post, just don't think it works with the Flames 1st on the table.

I can't see Calgary making that trade. I'd think they'd get better returns for Zadorov and Hanifin separately without giving up a potential top 10 pick
