Carlson would cost you quite a bit, we all saw how the season tanked last year with him out of our lineup. He's huge for the Caps

If a deal were to happen itd probably be Myers, Garland,Lekkermaki or Willander, Brzustewicz or Podkolzin, and a 1st for Carlson and Mantha Retained down to balance the salaries. Which imo is too much of price from Vancouvers prospect pool. I'd rather throw 8m for short term 2/3 years at Pesce.

Why on earth would you want to trade for someone like Carlson anyways? Going to be 34 going into next season at $8M cap hit.

It would have to be an insane cost because Caps are still going for it with Ovi around and Carlson is a huge piece. It would have to be a price so big they could turn around and flip for another #1D. It would have to involve Willander or Lekkerimäk to start.

carlson is still a top 4 dman with only 2 years left. significantly less risk

no chance he costs that much. p[lus, im looking at this next off season, not in season so myers/mantha are irrelevant.

Though Washington isn't rebuilding with Ovi still signed. So not going to get the rebuilding team discount like the other 2. So it will cost 1st + top prospect and could be more as other teams will be interested
