I like your proposition, but maybe make a switch with RHP with Ylonen, who I belive is a player on the same level than RHP.

Kidney is a underrated prospect, but not one of the top of them.

I don't see Montreal accepting that at this point. Knight's AHL stats are not great. I think they accept if you knock the first down to a second or third.

RHP, Kidney, Colorado's 2023 second and Pittsburgh's 2024 second?

The problem is the Panthers makes a massive mistake to sign Bob at 10,5M when they drafted the same offseason a elite/franchise goalie. I belive that's really scrapped his development.

Knight is very concerning, MTL probably decline. I think being patient on Fowler is a better bet for MTL

Other than nitpicking a little here or there, that's be a fairly even deal imo. Maybe just pick a 2nd instead of essentially locking 4 picks into conditions, maybe swap the 2nd for Ylonen/prospect kinda thing but honestly I don't hate the idea.

Regardless of Bob - Knight hasn't shown anything that would suggest he's a franchise goalie. He also makes almost 5 million a year.

Its interesting but a risky proposition considering Knight's performance this year has regressed, possibly for how his development has been handled versus his actual talent. Habs already have Cayden Primeau who has a lesser pedigree but a similar development path of being misused a bit. So I think from the Habs perspective maybe take out the 1st but attach conditions to the 2nd whereby it could become a 1st if Knight plays a certain number of NHL games for example. If he stays floundering in the AHL as he is now, no first.

I could see Buffalo possibly being a Knight destination

Maybe Toronto, Carolina or Jersey as well are a few sleepers

Goalies just don't get traded for 1st rounders. I doubt MTL even considers that.

So hyped.

Nobody is paying a 1st+++ for an overpaid average AHL goalie with mental health issues.

Seriously.
