no thanks that contract is still bad even at 50%. Stolarz,Lyon,Riemer would be way better options, and Allen would not cost anything more than a 3rd

Idk about you but if it’s available, I take a 1.9m Allen over a 3.4 Vanecek

Allen would %100 cost more than a 3rd if he was half retained. And how is that bad? A capable 1B goalie at less than 2mill only under contract till the end of next season.

Goalies are voodoo and hard to project from one system to another, which is why Fitzy does not like trading goalies mid-season. I think Vanecek and Schmid are probably our tandem for this season.

As for Allen vs Vanecek, it’s a roll of the dice. I wouldn’t include an asset like Foote, even if he serves as role player for us.
