Playing Xhekaj in anything other than heavily sheltered 3rd pairing minutes would be a disaster

Montreal and Toronto likely don’t complete a trade now sure that’s his real life value but they’d want significantly more to deal him to Toronto

What rumours? The Montreal brass like Xhekaj so much they went off the board and drafted his little brother. Don’t see him being on the move anytime soon.

I'm taking Xhekaj over any defensemen we have. He is exactly a guy you need in the playoffs. The calculators won't understand

I assume it would take a 1st. He would be a solid #6 or #7 dman for YEARS. Costly price but he has a very unique skill set, which increases his value.

May not have the skill (or still developing) but he is a guy you want to battle with in the playoffs. He would be a monster to go up against

Enforcers don't win playoff series. You try and stick Xhekaj-Giordano on the ice against the top lines of Tampa, Boston, NYR, NJD, Florida, Detroit, Ottawa, Pittsburgh, Carolina, etc etc etc, they're gonna get shelled.

A radioman saying he wouldn't be surprised if a player was traded is not even close to be a rumour,nor a prediction or even an opinion. It's merely a feeling.

Toronto fans will cling to anything to manifest their love for Xhekaj and Anderson's grit.

If a player was traded every time he's told to stop taking stupid penalties late in 3rd periods, there woud be a action on this website every day.
