Stamkos won’t come here, and Buffalo shouldn’t want to pay for him. Giving away Samuelsson is borderline ****. Colorado would probably take Erik Johnson back at the deadline. The Philly deal is fine though.

Having a tough start to this season is a dumb reason to give up on him so early in his career- especially since we’ve see him be so good with Dahlin already

Besides Stamkos not waiving his NMC to come to Buffalo,
he’s a UFA & not at all the kind of guy we should be going after

hypothetically if stamkos were to sign in buffalo with an extension and 50% retention it would probably be somewhere around 2 1sts. I dont think tampa would have any interest in olofsson or krebs, they need defense

Habs are probably the wrong place to try and dump Johnson, we already have too many defencemen that deserve playing time.

1- I get the idea behind this but ultimately dont think stamkos would sign

2- yeah fire EJ into the sun for all i care lol

3- Sean Walker's #s are probably inflated by being in torts' system, but if clifton could be moved id take walker for sure, like him for the 3rd pair.

4- I've never been a samuelsson fan, but moving him for coleman with his age/mileage probably doesnt serve us well long term.

Lately I've been thinking about a possible Sabres package they can offer TB for a retained Stamkos, but I just can't see him waiving his NMC to come play in a team with a similar predicament to one the Bolts are in right now. Tampa is home, and at the very least I can't see him abandoning it at the deadline for Buffalo. If he gets offered something incredibly lucrative in FA that he can't refuse, only then can I see him not in a Lightning jersey for the rest of his career.

As for the package, I can't see a Stamkos deal (with or without retention) getting done without at least one First rounder in play. If you're going to think of trade packages, the Giroux to FLA one seems like the best precedent.

Hard pass on the CGY trade. The Tampa trade isn't realistic. The rest is whatever. They won't move Johnson though
