Zero chance we spend more then 1 1st this year just isnt gonna happen the chances we use 1 1st is probably 50/50

Nylander alone is worth Hanifin and Lindholm combined. So this is a BIG overpayment. And Treliving is on record saying he wants to keep Nylander.

Plus I don't see the Leafs dealing with the Flames to address their needs.

Before the news of the cap increase I didn't see a way Toronto could afford to resign Nylander without moving one of their other expensive forwards.

The projected Cap gives Toronto a new hope to keep the band together.

I agree that Toronto should not have to send two 1st's in this deal. In this hypothetical deal I assume Nylander is signing in CGY?
