Why would you trade for Nylander when hes a UFA at the end of the year? Clearly hes going to the open market where he will have all the power. Even if he resigns with TO next summer he still wants to see what the value is with other teams, to get better leverage with the Leafs.

Leafs want Soucy in that deal and we will throw in Lily. You can keep Rati and Podkolzin

If the leafs were out of a spot i think they make this deal maybe take out Kuzmenko and add someone else he is overpaid from his 20% shooting percentage last season.

You mean like Toronto being so dominant that they’ve won what like only 6 games in regulation? Not to mention they only beat the lowly Canadiens in OT, same for Seattle. They’ve lost twice to Chicago. Lost to Buffalo. Lost to Ottawa. Those aren’t tough teams to beat. They are not a dominant team. They outscore their problems and to win games but they are not a top team in the league.

Leafs have better point % than Canucks; see you changed the terms because you can’t contradict facts. Who said dominant - leafs have been mediocre but are still better than the Canucks. We’ve beaten top teams - Dallas, Florida, Tampa & we play in the much tougher division. Canucks have benefitted from playing oilers when they were terrible, San Jose & Seattle. When they start playing LA & Vegas, they’ll revert to form - mid level. Leafs will just improve from here

They have some issues but are rounding back into better form. Massive injuries and still keeping above water. Vancouver hasn't really beaten anyone of note. Easy points from bad teams.
