Kuzy is a one dimensional player that will never shoot 27.3% for a season again or come close to it.

Debrusk has become a solid 200ft player that kills penalties now.

Their offensive production should be similar enough that Debrusk better all around play is more valuable.

This is a sell low for both teams. I wouldn’t have even remotely considered this deal for Boston at the beginning of the year.

Kuz can score, but give me JDB’s all around game every day. He’s streaky, but there is little doubt that he goes on a heater as soon as he’s traded.

I’d revisit Kuz In the offseason if free agency doesn’t go as planned, but I don’t see either team considering this.
