Nice job with the Kaprizov deal.

Guerin/Leipold won't ever move him, but it's a very strong offer and hits on MNs needs. Faber and Reinbacher would be a sweet duo on the right side.

I'd probably think long and hard if that offer was pitched before Kaprizov's NMC kicks in July 1st. His contract structure makes me incredibly nervous, especially with the team not really in a position to compete unless some prospects take massive leaps forward next year (Rossi, Faber, Wallstedt, at least 1 left D and a winger) which is too many things that need to go right. If Kaprizov doesn't want to resign, he walks for nothing and with him having a NMC, there's no reason that can't happen if he wants it to. It's certainly going to limit the return if he is willing to waive for select locations, so the above may just be the best offer you get and it would definitely help the team in the long run. Tough choice.

It doesn't make sense for Montreal to acquire a player that will be a free agent in 2 years. Any playoff appearance during that time will be unexpected and they can start looking at UFA's as soon as next offseason that they can sign to be here when their window opens, providing they have accurately identified their needs by then.

Yep, 100%. From the perspective of long-term franchise success, there's a very strong argument to made for moving him before the NMC kicks in. But we know Leipold wants playoffs ever year and Kaprizov brings in a lot of $$ to the business.

I just can't see it happening (as I'm sure you'd agree), but I do think it has merit to seriously consider it.

Leipold is such a frustrating owner. On the one hand, he is willing to spend to the cap every year and the team seems to have great facilities and such so he definitely cares. The problem is he probably cares too much and it would be nice if he'd be willing to let Guerin tear it down and accept they'll be bad for a few years before making a push once all the dead cap and bad contracts are gone.

Sorry but Anderson is almost as bad a contract as Vlasic, and just like Vlasic it takes 1sts (yea multiple) to dump his deal.

Sharks pass. You offer is decent not bashing it but not quite enough,

no chance mtl does this. Not only is it not Kent Hughes' style, but it's an overpayment. Farrell has been one of my favourite prospects for quite a while. Caufield even called him a steal. It's a no from mtl.

Overpayment maybe from your point of view, seem like and underpayment from mine! If the players were swapped I think you decline!

Id would only be for a year to let Beck play in the AHL 1 year and hes really not been bad in Laval. Started slow but been nearly ppg in his last 10

Not in the least lol I know he ain’t signing with the Canadians if he makes it to free agency I could see him signing with Dallas for sure but less then zero chance he signs with the Canadians just isn’t gonna happen lol but hey everyone aloud to dream even when it doesn’t make any sense

They both should be in the AHL …
So you can remove Dvorak from the MIN trade
