Another older defenseman is the last thing I want to see. I'm not sure he's even an upgrade to Maatta at this point.

That's because he isn't an upgrade from Maatta and I'd happily take Maatta over Savard. Detroit adding Berggren and a pick is just silly.

MTL already has Newhook (and sooo many other small wingers) who is a better version of Berggren.

Savard for 2 seasons would start with a 1st, plus whatever pick to take back Maata.
