You don't pay $5.5m for somebody who has sub .5 ppg especially in a system like the one in Toronto

Stats don't tell the whole story with Bert though...

Just thinking of last night, he created the Marner goal (didn't get a point), he created a massive scramble in front which could have lead to another goal etc.

He hustles everywhere... And I'd easily sign him to another 5.5 mill contract
