Benning is hurt right now but at full health I'd say he's around a 3rd/2nd. a lot of the value is in the cap hit and just the stability of his defensive play

Jacob Bernard-Docker has been playing a lot of minutes with Chabot out. And not that badly, just a little miscast as top-pair. He's a better fit with Sanderson than Chychrun though, Chychrun needs Zub more than Sanderson does.

JBD was a low 1st pick a bunch of years ago, he's finally paying off. I don't know what the price of that is. I also don't know what they do when Chabot comes off LTIR, because I don't think JBD gets through waivers again after playing this well. So yea, a trade might be there.

I don't think Bernard-Docker has much trade value. He has been on waivers multiple times and went unclaimed. Which is exactly why it'll make no sense for Ottawa to move him.

Ehhh more like a 3rd because of his cheap contract but a 2nd is a little high.

It depends on which are being shopped/available. I think Vaakanainen is probably the most available since he's RFA at the end of the season and the Ducks have veteran D under contract and a number of high upside young D starting out/coming up. I don't think Kovacevic or Benning are that available unless they get a really good return since both are cheap RD and have term. I can't see Ottawa moving Docker right now with their injuries and they'd probably prefer to move Brannstrom first. Seeler may be available at the deadline, but I can't see him being moved when Philly is in a playoff spot and have the 4th best goal differential in the East.

JBD is one of those guys with far more value to the organization than his trade value, yknow? decent so far and still room to grow, not much reason to move him. but his trade value is probably pretty minimal
