you're over the cap in this scenario, not accounting for the $2.3M on Petry that MTL is retaining.

Probably overpaid Bear and just not sure Tatar is a fit.


Granlund is having a great year, but he has majority of his points on the powerplay.

Yeah not to mention hes playing on PP1 and what? getting 1st line minutes as well. Also seem like Tatar wanted to go to a clear cut contender and the pens were not and are not in the position as of now, still possible to turn it around. I liked rutta but hes been hurt a lot in San Jose and he was hurt a good bit with us. Plus i think the contract was a bit too high. The only thing i wish was done was keeping dumo over graves, but that’s hindsight being 20/20, doubt anyone saw graves being this bad.

Different system and Granlund is playing top line minutes and lots of PP points. I don't think he was ever going to succeed in Pitt.

No one saw graves playing this bad. If you told pens fans at the end of the season that they'd lose Dumolin but get Graves they'd all be psyched.

You had no choice in moving Petry as he was forcing himself out of Pittsburgh.

I think the answer is no. Plus they couldn't have signed Tatar because you aren't accounting for Petry's full cap hit if he stayed
