The first trade could work.
Trades 2 and 3 I would not accept because it's not necessary in my mind.

I really like these moves. All of them.

The only thing I would adjust, is that our centre depth takes a hit here. I would keep Holmberg and put in a different prospect in that trade for Blais.

I assume Nashville passes though. I thin we would need to add another pick.

I also think we only need Perry or Blais. So if we can get Perry, no need for the Blais trade, and keep Robertson up.

Overall this is solid though. Outside of a few underpays.

I think it'd take more to get Larsson, Seattle has no reason to trade him at this point for that offer.

Why do so many people want to sign Perry?

Besides just plain being a bad fit, both he and Chicago have been silent about the events and actions leading to his contract being terminated for "unacceptable behavior involving a team employee." Why in the world would he want to then sign in Toronto and face the daily media hurricane-slash-firing-squad that happens there?

I was big on Blais in the summer after he had a really strong World Championship, but the guy just doesn’t have it at the NHL level. I wouldn’t offer for him and just sign him in the summer if they want him that bad - it’s not like he’ll be in high demand then.

The price for Larsson is higher than that. Much higher.

Well done sir! Great targets and pretty fair value. We may have to add a bit but not way off. 👍

I wouldn’t say much higher. He only has one year left after this on his term. Maybe a 3rd and/or prospect

It’s quite a bit higher actually.

Right handed shot defenceman are hard to find. When they’re available every team wants them and Larsson has 1.5 years left on his deal at a very cheap AAV that most contending teams can afford, especially with the cap going up.

If you’re looking at retention, it’s likely costing 1st + conditional 2nd + 2 top 10 prospects or 1 top 10 prospect and a young roster player.

I don’t think Toronto has the assets for a deal and I know Seattle has already said that for Toronto a deal starts at 1st + Minten. Now that can obviously change any time, but with Seattle in the thick of a playoff race and having no reason to move him, I really don’t see a reason for the value to go down right now

Ya but he didn’t ask for retention. I’d could see a 1st plus Niemela but I couldn’t add much more than that. Maybe a mid pick/prospect with that.IMO.

Leafs are asking for retention in every deal they’re exploring right now. They have to or they can’t afford it. The prices are high right now, and there’s no reason for them to come down yet
