none of these have any chance, and Im AZ fan. willie is going to want a get 11-12m. JEE would get way more than a A prospect. the PITT one they prolly do (if PITT decided they are out of playoffs) but no way GMBA trades a 1st for 1 + year of defensive Dman (albeit a real good one)

Uh, yeah, I do. Doan still has Doan's blood in him, its the same player. Like Tkachuks sons of Tkachuk, or Hulls sons of Hull, or Howe sons of Howe, or Nylanders son of Nylander. If you're dad is in the NHL so are you and you always live up to expectations.

Aside from the entertaining back & forth - kind of a waste of time. Nylander deal is ridiculous but who knows - stranger things have happened. But imo - as long as Yotes play in a high school arena, they won’t be attracting prime FAs. NHL should be embarrassed but I know Bettman is too far invested to do the right thing and move the franchise to an actual hockey market

I don't dislike the deal for Nylander or Petterson but both would require better prospects (imo).

I am not overly knowledgeable about prospects but a quick look, I would say someone like: But and Simashev would be appealing as the prospects for TOR and Pit (one each, not both to one team).

Not all prospects are equal. I just looked up an article by the Athletic on Ari top prospects. They listed over 20. There was no Douglass or McCarthy.

So you can't just give PIT or Tor a C prospect (McCarthy was a 7th rounder and looks like a guy who will settle as an AHL regular).

So no, a top prospect would be required. If you don't want to trade that, totally fine but you won't be getting these players.
