If acquiring Necas with that offer sheet ends up resulting in the Habs losing someone like Reinbacher, would you still do it? Waddell clearly isn’t afraid of sending a response offer sheet, and Reinbacher would likely be at the top of the target list, but guys like Guhle and Slafkovsky would be a couple of other backup plans.
