Buffalo just lit up Allen, you'd think that would have finally killed the MTL fans dream of Allen to Buffalo.

Take out the retention on Gally.

Can you imagine if the Flames traded Huberdeau only for him to return to form.... His style just doesn't mesh with what the Flames play, he needs a more easy west style of game and Montreal would provide that.

Would be a real slap in the face lol

Allen isn't happening. Savard doesn't make much sense either, this season is cooked. I think at Savards age and with his term. It would come off as another half measure, when a full measure is needed. The Sabres have cap room, expendable young players (too many guys thar play the same game) and a boat load of high end futures (all forwards). Time to use some of those assets to add to the roster, and not just peripheral players like Clifton and 36 year old Erik Johnson.

Genuine question, why are we selling both Matheson and Savard if we are bringing in Huberdeau? Bringing in Huberdeau suggests you are trying to at least be in the playoff chase, whereas moving Matheson and Savard suggests you are committing to the rebuild, simply put they are counter intuitive moves.

Reaves is infinitely more useful than Allen. The Sabres have 2 goalies, both who are playing much better than they're given credit for. They just went through this with Comrie. Montreal can waive Allen on their own, they don't need Buffalo to do it for them
