Going for the cup

Created by: SlimTJ100

Description
Bold moves not many people will like 😂

I’m at the point where I’m willing to trade some youth to go for the cup. We can’t pass this year up by being complacent.

I like the youth we get back in Pinto and Ruzicka. Solidifies center in the event Chytil doesn’t play again (which is possible)

And I love the D now. I don’t trust Schneider right now, I want someone better.

Ideally, Othmann can supplant Wheeler and make him the 13th F. Not sure that can happen this year tho, more hope then anything

Sorry to to say, the Sens are absolutely not going to consider this.

Pinto is a 1st. A 50% retained Tarasenko is probably gonna cost 1st also.

you can have Tarasenko 50% retained for your 1st rounder and you can have Hamonic for free. Pinto is not available.

You’re getting Kakko tho. Edstrom too, he’s a mammoth center

Sens won't move Pinto, apparently the new management is extremely bullish on him as a long term part of the future. Also I'm a day one Kakko nonbeliever, so I'd have absolutely no interest in him as a return for anything.

Wasn’t aware of their regard for pinto. What about Grieg instead?

I don't see the benefit to Ottawa in trading either. What's the value here for Ottawa? Jones is a 7th Dman, Edstrom is an AHLer, and Kakko has 3 points this season. Whether it's Greig or Pinto, Ottawa would be giving up the two most valuable parts of this deal, and retaining 2.5mil for a bunch of spare parts and a guy who never lived up to his draft spot.

Pinto and Grieg are a hard no. Batherson and Norris they will hear offers no doubt. Chabot and Tank as well as Kubalik are the pieces they are trying to move.

That’s all true. To be fair Kakko got hurt. I realize that doesn’t help his cause, but it’s a potential deal for them. He’s still young and raw. Takes guys awhile. Edstrom is definitely a wild card. He could make the league someday. He looked pretty good in the one game he played

This is what I mean. I got Ottawa guys saying Pinto is untouchable, and Ranger fans saying he isn’t worth
anything😂

Hes a good player who is valuable and will be very good NEXT year. The lack of training camp and games played will probably mean a bad season this year.

I might be interested in the offseason but not for a playoff run

9 times out of 10 trades here the average Joe come up with, are microscopicly analyzed by what their team is giving up and very rarely what they’re actually getting in return. Everyone wants player x who is good, for player z who isn’t

We’ll see. Nichuskin is good example of guys taking awhile. I could see a similar path for Kakko. Valeri had a zero goal season once. I get it tho, I wouldnt trade for him either 😂

Kakko has little to no value, NYR would be hard press to get a 3rd for him.

Rangers will probably give him one more bridge deal around the same amount, rather then trade him for peanuts
