Both sides agree with the trade.
I assume either Colorado or NY Rangers would throw in a first round 2025 or 2026 pick.

Trocheck declines.

And Byram and his multiple concussions isn't a wise choice.

Genuinely curious, I've seen a number of Rangers fans propose trading Lindgren. Has his play been poor, or do you all just see him as a cap casualty?

Offense dies on his stick, which is especially unhelpful since he’s perpetually glued to Fox’s hip. I think it would be a better idea to just move him to a different pairing to see if he has chemistry with someone else rather than just jetting him elsewhere, but posters on this site are understandably trigger-happy with trade proposals. He is actually good defensively, though.

He also takes a ton of huge hits, and lots of Rangers fans are afraid he’ll break-down sooner rather than later if he signs long-term this summer.

I would imagine Trochek blocks this as I'm pretty sure he specifically wanted to stay in the east. That's before looking at whether it's good or bad for either team.

Trocheck brings grit, skill, leadership, is good defensively, wins face-offs, has developed rapport with Panarin and Laf, greets each player off the ice at the end of each period, and has Cuylle living at his house learning how to be a pro. I'd be shocked and disappointed if they moved him, as he's earned his money and appears to be very much at the heart of NYR team chemistry.

If not for the NMC, I think Colorado would take this and run.

Rangers easily decline. They don’t need two concussion prone players in Chytil and Byram lol

He has really struggled this year. Might be the new system or he’s finally showing 1 bad year since he hasn’t had one since starting for the rangers

Also, fans want to avoid giving him a long term contract due to his style of play that wouldn’t last long

Terrible trading Trocheck away, shame! He's gritty gold, same with Lindgren. Dudes are always do the right things
