Got a similar AHL depth guy who isn't LHD? Just thinking Columbus will need all the Cleveland LD spots next year for actual prospects. A RHD or a wing is fine.

Yes a player playing at a 48 point pace with bum linemates is only worth a 3rd

Casey, but you'd have to add a higher caliber guy to make that work. We need a guy that can be plugged in either at LD or RD till Doug returns. Hopefully, we'll limp in as the second WC.

People just stop. If for some weird reason all Hughes gets offered for Mony is a 3rd then he’ll just keep him. END OF STORY.

Honestly the 3rd is probably fine for Bean, unless you really need the contract slot.

Monahan is a legit 2C making <$2M, I'd expect that to cost a late first. Not sure that would be the Devils target. if I'm MTL, I'd look for a 1st from a team whose window you think is closing/closed that's still going for it, maybe even in 2025. And if I'm NJ...I'd let that theoretical team throw away that 1st.

Oh, I don't need a real prospect. I'm just asking about fringe guys you've got in Binghamton.

10 points 5v5, 1.17 points/60 5v5 would rank him 12th out of 13 among devils forwards

All his stats come from getting 4 minutes a night on the power play

Monahan's point production significantly lags his RAPM. Devils are an analytic-driven organization. They could be interested in him, but not for a 1st (or likely even a 2nd)

His closest comparable is Kulak. 2nd and prospect is the likely return.

Are you comparing a D man to a forward? Hes closer to Andrew Copp, he was averaging 51 points per 82 when was traded for2 2nds, one was conditional and got upgraded based on playoff success. Or Mantha which was a top 9 forward, a 1st and 2nd or athanasiou who monahan is better than but got 2nd rounders (45 and 52)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA.

He's got 10 5v5 points in 500 minutes.

1.17 points/60, ranking him 280th/365 forwards with at least 250 minutes 5v5.

Someone may pay that. It won’t be the devils. They’re an analytics-driven team

Thats why they havent traded for a goalie yet or havent moved Meier up the lineup when its proven hes better with Hughes

Are these two examples, one with requires another team to agree to a trade and the other a coaching decision, supposed to cast doubt on my assertion that the devils are an analytics-driven team?
