Way too $$$$ for Bertuzzi. Benoit, Lagesson and Niemela in the top six? Crazy to trade away Jarnkrok and Timmins for nothing.

Really? Ya think so? I figure being 30 next year while having such a bad season on an expiring contract, it might be detrimental to his next AAV. But I am definitely interested to see what he gets.

Teams are going to overpay in free agency. I’m not saying that’s what he’s worth that money but with the cap going up and him being a really good RHD up until this year. He’s going to get that money for sure

hmmm... I wouldn't say "for sure", but, yeah, it's definitely a possibility. On an individual team level, it's easy to argue for keeping AAV's low for the caps sake, but in the big picture I want players to go get that money and force the league and owners hands. So, yeah, I hope he does. I want the players to hold these guys to the fire, there needs to be DRASTIC change in the NHL all the way to the top.

I’d be extremely surprised to see him get that unless it’s an Orlov type deal (short term). Anyone who gives him 7.5 long term is probably making a huge mistake given his age

already proved us that he can stay in the nhl full time. just sent him down to work on his dgame. He’s destroying everything in the ahl with xhekaj right now. Id say Harris contract would be a real good comp
