If Ottawa is so disappointed in Korpisalo’s performance that they are already looking to move him and his four seasons remaining at $4m per, then a simple swap of 3rd round picks won’t get it done. If Ottawa wants to retain 50% then perhaps.

You might find a team with interest in Korpisalo, in which case, you might actually be able to get something for him, but to CHI, he should be considered a pure cap dump. He isn't helpful to us and would not be in our long term plans. The only benefit to anyone in that deal is OTT gaining the cap space for the next four years, and that is what you should be paying for.

RyJo isnt a cap dump, he's producing. he just doesnt fit the Avs style of hockey and no offense but the Sens don't play at that pace either. Seattle is the perfect RyJo fit imo. I believe Sens are hard up against the cap(too lazy to look) so probably doesnt work. A 1st for Pinto is a good deal for both if they are shopping him, would even add a reasonable sweetener

I kind of see your point. Unfortunately, every team will see Ryjo as a cap dump no matter what. He's been nonexistent in too many games and it's clear he doesn't fit COL. The league knows COL is trying to solve a 2C problem, so Ryjo fairly or not is seen as a cap dump and teams adjust their trade returns accordingly. Aside from all that, Pinto for a 1st would be awesome.
