Seelers and Walker was a combo I was looking at earlier this year as possible candidates for the Leafs. With the emergence of Benoit, I think Sellers is a little more redundant. Sellers is a great bottom pair guy but with our current depth, I don't see the need for Seelers anymore. As for Walker, he is the lowest/worst option I think is reasonable for Leafs to pursue. |

I think the Leafs need a true top 3 dman. Preferably a RD. Preferably signed for more than 1 year. Walker is more of a 4/5 guy on a cup contender and he is a pending UFA.

I would also not pay the price you have here either. I am still quite high on Robertson. And I don't want to give up a 1st, unless it's for that top 3, team controlled guy.

Leafs pass and I think the value is favoring Philly heavily here. But the idea of Seelers and Walker to Toronto isn't a bad thought process.

Myers is playing fantastic right now. No reason to do that deal for Vancouver

laugh Extremely weak offer for Carter Hart, neither Boucher or Forsberg have much value. And the Detroit 2024 1st round pick isn't available for trade. Ottawa will receive Boston's 2024 1st round pick for the Alex DeBrincat trade.

The real get is $5M cap space which they desperately need. Virtually a wash between Staal and Myers without considering money

Canucks have been running 3 scratches for a while. They could send two down and have 2M in cap space, enough to acquire retained players without giving up all that.

The Canucks won't move Myers unless they're getting a RHD who can play 20+ mins/night coming back

Canucks easily decline. Myers has been playing well, they aren't paying to dump him They especially are not paying Raty and a 2nd to dump Myers given that the pieces coming back hold basically no value to them.

Sorry but most of these trades make no sense.....the Toronto one does and I could see that happening. But I think they can likely get more dealing Walker and Seeler separately.
