Take out Sillinger and and change the 2nd for a 1st and you will get Columbus to listen. The talk right now is minimum two firsts for Campbell. I get the idea as Columbus is rebuilding looking to atarsov as their goalie and may think it trading Elvis.
Campbell gives them a voice behind Tarasov for same term and little less $$. As long a Campbell can somewhat bounce back.
But Columbus will still want assets to take on the contract and risk Campbell presents.

I can tell you that it is not that. Elvis, on a really bad team, has actually put up pretty good numbers this year. Campbell can't even get those numbers in the AHL.
Broberg at 22, is still playing in the AHL. Likely looking to be a depth defenseman at this point in his career. Sillinger at 20 is playing in the NHL and posting respectable numbers.
a 2nd and 6th rounder are not close to make up the value difference, not by a long shot.

The others have covered it well, but I'll chime in as a Columbus fan. You get Elvis only and you keep adding to your side.

Sillinger is very much the best piece in this trade and he is definitely not on the table in anything involving taking on Campbell's toxic contract.
