Flames management won't be retaining since ownership refuses to

Oiler decline. Desharnais has been a staple on our third pair and is a big reason why our PK is doing good.

Nick Seeler is another target that Bruins should go for instead.

Oilers decline. Wouldn’t even sell Vincent off for a 3rd. He is too solid and we want to go for it rn.

This package doesn't make Minnesota want to trade another year and a half of Middleton

Think it'll take more to get Middleton, but I do love the player.

Don't understanding the CGY trade. You have a similar player in DeBrusk already and he'll sign for a reasonable cap hit.

Only retention makes it close to a 4mil for a 4mil cap hit. Idk tho

I honestly forgot he was on this. I made this almost a month ago and just posted now, so at the time Oilers were in a pretty bad spot

We have cap room to sign him and lack first round picks. This deal makes no sense for 1 year of control.

Minny and Edm decline.

Would not swap Debrusk for Mangy 1 for 1. FFS. Lol

Regardless, I don't think they Oilers are open to dealing him. We were trying to get Sam Lafferty before the season started from the Leafs, and the ask was Desharnais. Oilers declined, which I thought was a mistake, since Lafferty has been a solid player for the Canucks thus far.

What is 1 reason the Wild would do this that doesn't include "he's from Minnesota"? A year+ of Middleton is worth more than a few months of Forbort and a late 4th (basically early 5th) plus Middleton is cheaper which we need with nearly $15 million in dead money on the books.

Would not swap Mangiapane for Toporowski 1 for 1, absurd to add JD and the 1st
