Necas might be available but the Canes aren’t going to trade him for futures. What would Philly trade the Canes that would be useful now - Konecny?

I'd ask for Konecny or Tippett

TK probably not, I think he'll probably end up being the next Captain. Tippett I could see

Tippett would probably be a good fit with the Canes

Keep in mind, I’m not our GM, but my GUESS would be :

For Krebs
-young, top4 RH defenseman who is defensively oriented,
which it doesn’t seem u have for us

For Mitts
-maybe Hart? Idk anything else u guys have that would make sense for us

Sabres probably wont trade mittelstadt.

Krebs idk, I guess another player in a similar situation that needs a change in scenery.

Tippett is viewed extremely high in the organization. I would almost go so far as to say that he wouldn't be involved in any trade (outside of the obvious), until the end of the year. There are rumors of a long term deal in the offseason and he was 3 off of 30 goals last year and is on pace for 30 this year at 24 years old. He is a Torts guy for sure, which is huge when talking about this specific coach.

Necas is definitely not a guy we would add Tippett into a deal for.

You're crazy if you think you're getting Tippett AND a good add for Necas.

Lol. You are crazy if you think you aren’t. Necas, in a down year, has 1 less point than him in 6 less games. Necas still has a higher ceiling than tippet by a good amount. Tippet has a good shot but he doesn’t create. Necas is only 60 days older than Tippett so it’s not like we are comparing two different ages here. Necas has outscored Tippett every step of the way

I would prefer to have tippett on my team than necas. The canes aren’t selling low on Necas either

I disagree, largely because I think Necas can be a Center and that he'd be a great fit under Tortorella. As much as Tippett has impressed lately, losing a guy who long term would probably end up being your 4th/5th best winger just isn't worth it if you can get a potential long term fit down the middle

If that's the ask for Krebs then yeah, probably a no go.

I could absolutely see a Hart-Mittelstadt swap making sense for both sides

We aren’t looking to move either player though
I know ppl on here think we should sell low on Krebs, but i don’t see it happening
I really don’t see us moving Mitts either- i think he gets signed long term
We have a backlog of prospects we might rather move than either player, but no way to be sure of that- just speculation

I know we called on Hart before the season started, but u guys wanted too much for him

I don't know that Necas has the defensive chops to be a center... that might just be the Hurricanes system
