No, we're a building team, so exchanging the younger Gibson for the older Kuemper and the much younger Zegras for the much older Kuznetsov makes no sense.

LaPierre, Iorio and the first for Zegras is tolerable for us.

Two old and expensive pieces is a real easy no for Anaheim

Seems like a bit of a low ask, am I missing something in the discussion? Personally I'm really not a big fan of Zegras, but I'd imagine Anaheim would require Leonard in any Zegras trade (also why Washington shouldn't be in the market)

I was trying to be realistic because on the four or five occasions someone has posted a Zegras-to-Washington proposal, our response has been "the package has to include Leonard" and we get scalded by Caps fans.

yeaaa not even doing that straight 1 for 1. I'm one of the Caps fans that wouldn't touch Zegras with a 30 foot pole though so...

Reasonable. In the end I’d say your proposal is at least similar to what Washington would end up offering, though perhaps they’d include someone like Suzdalev or Cristall instead of Lapierre since I feel both have better standing around the league.

This. It’s Leonard for sure. He’s way more of a Verbeek style player, and both he and Cutter would be stoked to play together for the long haul
