Jets need a 2C and RHD…not another LHD…this would be a stupid move

Not saying I would make this particular deal but adding Chychrun to the core for the next few seasons would be 3D chess. If he’s available Jets should make it happen! Doesn’t prevent a move for a 2C.

Chychrun takes assets and cap space we should be using to fill actual holes instead of wasting them on players we don’t need.
This trade would be a stupid move and would make the team worse in that it leaves the other actual needs unaddressed.

Chevy doesnt trade prospects but picks most of the time.

C’mon man, getting Chychrun doesn’t prevent the Jets from making other moves. Players like him don’t come available very often. Jets left side isn’t a fortress. Mostly 3rd pair guys realistically. He comfortably plays the right side. Use a 1st, Stanley and Chibrikov maybe another mid round pick let’s say for JC and then the MON 2nd for Monahan. Or swing bigger with other assets like Lambert etc…for a Lindholm or …

Samberg is far from a 3rd pair guy.. and he’s ready to make the step to the 2nd pair… no reason to bring in a blocker to stop that from happening,..band I think Chychrun is overrated and asking to be traded makes him even less attractive. Jets need right handers, badly, and that’s not Chychrun.
As for Monahan, that’s a complete waste of an asset… he does nothing for WPG.
Not trading Lambert at all, or we shouldn’t.

Chychrun is significantly better than Samberg and I don’t recall seeing he asked for a trade. I am not interested i trading Lambert either.
