Giroux would be an interesting 2C option for Colorado. I’d probably say yes to that. May need to make another move around Johansen to make the cap work.

Giroux to Avs makes a lot sense.
I think Giroux prefers to plays for a Stanley Cup contending team, and he wasn’t a good fit for the Sens.

I’d strongly consider that

2 years of 50% retention gets way more than just a 1st

I’d want a 1st in the Chychrun deal but it’s not bad overall.

I’d think both teams would prefer something a little different for Norris. Switch one of the 2 young players for a high pick or a different position

Can’t picture Minnesota touching that. They have a ton of defensive prospects coming the next couple years that coincide with spurgeons deal ending. They won’t want to burden themselves with that contract and term for a second. You’d have to add a lot from Ottawa to entice them.

That Wild trade is awful for the Sens.
