I forgot to add in- trade only happens if they can re-sign hanafin. Ie- like Horvat trade. Whatever the number is

The Habs rather have a pick than lose Ylonen or Pezzetta. So if the offer is good we're going to accept. This is quite simple because we have depth.

They aren't talking about a conditional re-sign. They are saying they want to negotiate an extension prior to a trade. I can't see NY making that deal because Lindholm is going to get ~7.5M and that is probably outside their price range, whereas Miller, though not currently as good, is cost controlled.

Calgary would definitely accept that if they think Miller would be willing to extend in Canada though
