Unlikely Winnipeg moves Lambert or that Buffalo moves Mittelstadt.

Ottawa isn't retaining on Chychrun and Winnipeg shouldn't be paying more for him that Ottawa did considering he has less term now and doesn't really fill a need for the Jets.

Don't think it gets done without Lucius being in there. Heinola is just another Brannstrom and Stanley doesn't move the needle much.

That and the 1st is 2025..

Not to mention that retention for another year probably costs another 2nd or 3rd at least.

Definitely not enough for Ottawa

They gave 12th overall plus two 2nds. This package isn't close to that value

Buffalo isn’t moving Mittelstadt
Zero interest in wasting assets on Chychrun

What is with this obsession with acquiring a player we don’t need… this is a hockey team, not a collectors card collection

Sabres trade makes literally 0 sense for Buffalo. It's been repeated ad nauseam what Buffalo would need to move Mittelstadt. They have a deep forward prospect pool, they don't need more

Buffalo would move Mittelstadt, it would cost WPG Pionk or Salomonsson

Sure it is. A 1st a 2nd and an NHL ready defenseman. That's very close.

Either way it's semantics, Chychrun's value is lower now that what Ottawa paid.

Buffalo is flush with high end forward prospects and young NHL forwards.

A mittelstadt trade has to be a hockey trade, meaning top 4 D
