Sabres just resign Mittelstadt. Canucks fans keep posting this and Sabre fans keep saying the same thing. Swap Lekkerimaki with Willander

It's a good offer but I think Buffalo will re-sign Mitts.
They'll definitely choose Willander over Lekkerimakki though.

What about swapping Hunter Brzustewicz with Lekkerimaki? Think Willander is untouchable.

Buffalo would certainly prefer Brzustewicz over Lekkerimaki. Willander would be the best but he probably is as untouchable as Benson, Kulich or Savoie are to the Sabres.
If offered Buffalo should make this trade now to see if Granato could resurrect Andrei Kuzmenko, so he could be flipped at the TDL.
Buffalo's and Vancouver's first are trade chips for top defense first RHD and Lekkerimaki could be considered Buffalo 2024 1st round plck.

Agree with the Buffalo fans here (even though I'm a Canucks fan). Why keep posting the same old crap like you just thought of it. Plus Mittelstadt isnt probably going anywhere, and I'm 100% ok with that. With respect I think we can do much better.

Easy pass for both sides.
Canucks are not doing this deal with the Sabres.
Sabres should keep their young guys and Casey is not leaving.

Personally I would prefer Lekkerimakki to Brzustewicz. I think HB will be a solid player don't get me wrong. I just think that with JL and two 1sts in our hands this year we can handle that Top4RHD slot with a proven player. I'm hopeful that Top4D hole will be filled by next year since there's a ton of options out there. I'd love for it to be an elite player here and now but DeMelo, Hanifin, Gavrikov, etc. are all pending UFAs.

prefer Lekkerimakki to Brzustewicz "no argument".
IMHO there Adam Larsson/Will Borgan or Luke Schenn if either Seattle or Nashville fell out of the playoffs.
Adam or Will would require our 2024 first (maybe more), Luke our 2024 second.

Lekkerimaki definitely the better prospect, although we're intrigued by Brz.
