Agreed. They have 10 mill in cap space next year after likely extending Pinto. So they’ll be able to sign a RD and a middle 6 2 way player

Maybe one of Pinto or Greig goes if Sens mgmt thinks they can get solid assets for them and find another 3C

It's more that most people don't follow the sens, but in the past 3 days both Chychrun and Staios have shut down all talk of him being unhappy and not wanting to extend here, as well as all trade talk. With a year left on his deal, if they decide to move him it'll be in July after they try to extend him.

With Pinto and Greig, it literally makes no sense to move two U23 players who are already Top 9 guys with Top 6 potential, who will contribute 40-60 points while being good two way guys and not have high AAV's for the next 3-4 years. They have both been great and are in no way a part of the problem in Ottawa.

Greig is already playing LW. Makes no sense to trade one

Doubt it.

First, Staios just said that Pinto plays the type of game that they are looking for in players they want to bring in. Doubt he trades away what he's looking for.

Second, Greig's game is something they need. Played in the top 6 for most of the season. He's been one of ottawa's best forwards during the prolonged slump. Unless a team is willing to pay a ridiculous price (top pairing RD with term), there's just nothing they need that would be worth giving up Greig for, who's still on his ELC.
