No one is taking Dubois from you, let alone paying you to do so. He's about as untradable as Huberdeau right now.

Nope. Dubois will be a king for 7 years, or shorter, if you buy him out

It would take someone with the attention span of a gnat to think that it could make sense to give up on a guy in whom you'd invested 8 years after only 45 games.

Man... the moment LAK traded for Dubois I was like "why?" At the time, they already had their top 2 centers and a bunch more working their way up the roster and pipeline. Made no sense for them to go after someone like him. Especially moving all the pieces they moved for him. I'm not gonna let my opinion of him change based on a single season, but that trade still doesn't make sense, regardless.

In a vacuum that's correct , however with Primadona Luc Dubios propensity to lack effort and basically quit before might make you think cutting bait is sometimes the best option.

I was against that idea from the start -- when people began posting DuBois to Los Angeles proposals on CF before it happened, I continuously told them that they were crazy -- now, I'm just hanging on for the ride and hoping he settles in next season and has three or four good ones before his bad attitude arises again.

When he was still with CBJ I saw someone suggest Cirelli ++ for him I almost died of laughter. Like pull rib muscle laughter.

I personally would trade for Dubois but more something like Dach + Dvorak with maybe a 2nd or 3rd attached. I know it's a lot for a struggling player but the reward likely outweighs the risk and it let's us off load both Dach and Dvorak, not that they are bad players but Dach is always injured and we simply have no more room for Dvorak

Ideally they move on while he still doesn't have a clause. But, we'll see, I guess.
