*WITH CHYTIL DONE FOR THE SEASON, THE RANGERS ARE IN THE MARKET FOR A CENTREMAN. SHOULD TROCHECK OR ZIBANEJAD GET INJURED PRIOR TO THE TRADE DEADLINE, THE RANGERS WILL BE THIN AT CAPABLE PLAYERS WHO CAN WIN FACEOFFS. MONAHAN IS A PERFECT FIT HE CAN PLAY THE WING AS WELL AND PLAYS 18 MINUTES A NIGHT. BONINO AND GOODROW ARE ONLY PLAYING 12 MINUTES A NIGHT ON THE BOTTOM SIX.

Then why do you want him?

I'll tell you why.....he is young, big, physical, talented and cost controlled. everything the Rangers need more of. He is not available, and the Rangers could get Monahan or another 3C with just picks, so keep dreaming.

FYI he is on the 3rd line the vast majority of games.
