Edmonton has no reason to trade Desharnais, he's been fantastic. A couple replacement-level players wouldn't be of interest.

I have absolutely no idea why Timmins gets so much hate. He's definitely an NHL player who needs more experience. He drives play, has a good shot, good size and wins his minutes. Sure he is right now only a 3rd pair defenceman, he's also only 25 and has missed a lot of time recovering from injuries. Everything I have seen from him, and yes he does have his warts, but the whole of what he's doing right now is definitely under utilized and deserving of some run way. Keefe needs to get better at coaching the kids through natural growing pains. Liljegren despite a large amount of undeserved hate is only now finally getting more minutes and responsibilities and being successful in those minutes. Keefe has his favorites and it does hurt the team sometimes. At a certain point players need to get the playing time to improve their deficiencies, if you are never given those opportunities it can get hard to grow. We all agree that Liljegren was often better than Holl but Keefe plays his favorites. Brodie has not been as good as Liljegren this season. Gio I think has often been the 7th best defenceman. Benoit has been a surprise, but does his job well. Timmins has had a lot of bad moments but he's also had a lot of good moments as well and in sheltered minutes he offers a very good offensive addition that could be refined into a solid 2nd pair 2 way defenceman.

Acting like he's just trash is just beyond my understanding. He'd be claimed immediately if he went on waivers. And likely make a name for himself if given the right situation.

No on Desharnais. The price for Tre would be double than any other team if we do trade him tho. Since Tre offended by trying to steal him in a Lafferty deal 1 for 1.

Caps would want more and would retain salary to do so.
