Canucks pass easily. No interest in Ceci, and despite the rumour I can’t see us moving Zadorov (and even if we did it would be to clear cap space so taking back Ceci makes no sense)

    Easy pass Canucks.
Zadorov is untouchable and he's not available.

So why exactly would the Hawks put in a waiver claim on Janmark?

If Canucks do trade Zadorov it would only be to open up cap space. But that said, I highly doubt he’s moved

That is throwing the word, "untouchable" around to way to easily. Few players, if any in the league (other than players with NMC'c), are truly "untouchable", and Zadorov is certainly not one of them. With that said, I agree that the Canucks turn down this offer.

Canucks decline. They just acquired Zadorov, a player management likes and have had their eyes on for a while. Zadorov has also said he's been loving Vancouver, both the team and the city. Canucks won't trade him after they got him for relatively cheap, especially for an offer that's arguably less than they gave up for him.

    Why not?

Well let’s see, 31 yrs old, playing like crap, no upside to his game.

The Hawks have enough guys like that which is why they do lose so often, Oilers can keep him.

It's not like they need another LD.

Ask the person who created this thread and proposed Chicago claim him off waivers from the Oilers.

Clearly you haven't watched much Oilers hockey. Janmark is excellent defensively and a key part of their PK. He won't score much but he certainly isn't "playing like crap".

Well comparing him to the guy I saw play for the Hawks a few season, Janmark’s play has dropped off significantly.

Also, the creator of this thread, who is an Oilers fan is willing to let him go through waivers, so apparently my opinion is shared.
