Description

Helps get the Pens younger while helping us get a bonafide goal scorer for a playoff run. I know it's more complex than that. But interested in hearing y'alls thoughts.

Also, I didn't include it there, but extensions on both sides would definitely need to be a part of this trade. I just don't know what they would look like yet.

I'm a canes fan, and I'm starting to warm up to the idea. The real question is what it would take to get him resigned. We're not going to be giving up Necas for a rental is what I think it comes down to. What do you think it would take to resign him?

No, not if the starting point is Necas. They put up comparable totals last year, and Guentzel is overperforming in a career year. His stats have started to decline as the Penguins core gets older. Necas on the other hand is improving year to year, a big breakout year last year, and he looks set to build on it this year. Moving that control for a minor upgrade is shambolic asset management, especially on the wings where we are strongest. If it was a center, I may get it, but this makes no sense

As a Caps fan I don't hate it. Do you know what the hell happened to Gunler? Loved him his draft year and he did pretty well in the SHL, now he's scraping by in Liiga?

Can't really say much about his performance, but I know he was really P.O.'d with the front office when he was assigned to Norfolk in the ECHL and was one of the few that never reported there.

yeah, the no AHL team this year really screwed him over.
