If you get Dumba expecting him to play on the top pair, you're going to hate him. If you get him because he can skate, is big and uses his size to crush people, can carry the puck a bit, and penalty kill, then you'll be satisfied and probably won't care if he makes the occasional gaffe that you would think would have been coached out of NHL players a long time ago. All offensive dmen make mistakes like this from time to time, but Dumba has made more than his fair share and isn't contributing the offense to make you over look it.

I think part of the problem is he is playing too many minutes because AZ is so thin. He's over 20 minutes a night. Someone will get him (relatively) cheap at the deadline and be happy (unless they still think he's a top pairing D). Big guys who can skate are always in demand at the deadline. Especially people willing to use their size. I'd take a third and Chadwick. Don't think Robertson has much value, and the Yotes are loaded with wingers.

Really? In 16 games, five points and a plus player, playing 15 minutes. Timmins has 9 takeaways... Glad he back in the lineup, I don't know why he benched for so long. In Dumba's 40 games, a minus player and has five takeaways.

Did you just quote plus/minus as an evaluation tool? That's the worst stat to evaluate an individual. He was shipped out of Colorado, then arizona and now bouncing between the lineup in Toronto. His Point share is only 1.2, he's not very good or much more than a 3rd line plug.

Flyers pass. Its not bad value for Timmons, but we currently have 8 defenseman and no need for anymore bottom pair ones.
