3 NYR trades seem interesting.
I prefer Guentzel and Lindholm, but I'm not too sure about Kane though despite his health status.

If they, a division rival, want to acquire Jake, they will need to give up Lafreniere and a 1st.

And the decision to play a 40 goal scoring first line LW Stanley cup winner as a 3rd line RW is WILD. Him being behind Kane and Laffy on this depth chart gotta be one of the goofiest things I’ve seen in a while

ok guentzel is in your name so this counter is obviously riddled in bias. i agree that there's a divisional tax, and i agree that the offer is short, but cmon, laf for guentz 1 for 1 would be stupidly lopsided. This counter is 5 times worse than the original. Othmann 1st is the highest I could see the pens getting, and imo that's steep too. Rentals simply do not get massive packages regardless of their upside.

Guentzel is the type of player people hope laffy become. And he’s got it done when it matters most. I do not presume the penguins would sell Jake guentzel as a rental that’s a ridiculously bad idea. That gets the least amount of value out of the second most valuable player on the team. Pens will not trade Jake guentzel, but if they did it would be sign and trade.

Trading Jake guentzel and rebuilding could also trigger Crosby wanting to cup chase with other teams. Why for gosh sakes would a company buy the pens for a billion dollars and then fumble away the face of the franchise in less than two years? The price of this risk is simply too great for the rangers to convince the penguins.

If you want Jake guentzel, the cost is extreme. I would not suggest trading for him

Ya i wont deny the impact moving guentzel will have on the team, but fans of teams love to assume their guys are eager to resign. What if he isnt? What if he walks? Getting nothing for him sure would be a heck of a lot worse for Crosby and the whole team. I don't really think the ball is in Pittsburgh's court here. Their future isn't phenomenal so we cannot assume he's going to stay or even take a sign and trade.

There's a lot of factors here, and I won't even deny that your route could be feasible, but we cannot laugh at offers and say what will/won't happen when we really don't know. In a rental situation, he's not getting Laf.

obviously laf-jake 1 for 1 it's obviously bad for the pens lol. even if he was the first overall he won't clearly become as good as Jake is right now. plus whoever will acquire Jake will have him with an extension and is going to pay a crazy amount to have him.

I can and absolutely did laugh at an offer as ridiculous as the one made here.

Will Jake re-sign? I do not know. But the pens will not trade him to the rangers for magic beans.

If Detroit falls out of the race, it will take actual pieces to acquire him.

Unfortunately for you, the return on Jake will absolutely be something along the lines of Laf and a 1st... if not more... especially from a division rival (only the flyers would have to pay more, but you get the point.) The Pens would be looking for a player, prospect, and a 1st for him as a rental and more if he decides to resign with the team acquiring him. is this a lot? Absolutely, but teams at the deadline always overpay for players.

laugh Kakko and a 2nd round pick doesn't get you Elias Lindholm, Not even close.

And the Patrick Kane trade is totally delusional, Kane is worth far more than that and the Rangers with 49 games played are only 6 points ahead of Detroit. So Detroit is a long ways from being sellers. There's a strong chance that Detroit winds up with more points that the NYR.

All 3 trades are a royal joke, And totally declined by Calgary, Detroit and Pittsburgh.
