The rangers got a late first out of Lundkvist so I would think thats a pretty reasonable comp. something in that range anyways

I don’t want Kakko. The Bowman years are over. Let’s stop accumulating the island of misfit toys and focus on our picks and developing them.

It hasnt all clicked yet but I still like his game. If the price is right I'd take a flyer.

I am a Leafs fan.

A deal surrounding Kakko and Monahan seems very reasonable in my mind. I think Kakko has the higher value but it's close.

I proposed.

Kakko + 2nd for Monahan + Kovacevic + Evans.

Fills a lot of needs for both teams.

2 completely different situation, Lundkvist was still a prospects, Kappo is in his 5th season, with 267 games under his belt, he has reached his potential and that is barely being a 3rd line player, no GM will give up a 1st or mid to early 2nd for him, maybe a late 2nd

I mean lundkvist was 22 when the trade happened, theyre the same age right now. Lias andersson also got moved for around a top 40 pick when he was about the same age and had equally almost no development at the NHL level
