It's basically a 1st round pick and if it ends up costing more, Jets' fans won't care at all.

All the Habs fans here acting like there weren't a bunch of trades suggesting McGroarty, Lambert, & Barlow being a "part" of the return. A bit higher than what I wanted to pay (MTL's 2nd), but not that far off unless the condition is met.

Says a guys who team has done Squat in 24 years…3 total playoff series wins. The Habs won 3 rounds the last time they made the playoffs in 21. Jets have been rebuilding for 20+ seasons and will flop again in the playoffs. Thanks for the first round pick

Well when one team snags the big fish, the rest panic. And over pay drastically to ensure they get a guy. The actual deal was an overpayment for a reason, Jets wanted a piece. Canucks jumped on it first. Jets over pay to get their back up plan.

I was talking about the Jets history which includes Atlanta 2000-2024 = 20+ years lol…are you sure English is your mother tongue?

So, let me get this straight. You were attempting to make fun of a fan named Mr. Jet by saying his team was crappy by including the Atlanta years where the current ownership group had absolutely no control of the organization and Mr. Jet was very likely not a fan of the team at the time. Makes absolutely no sense to me, but each to their own.
