I don’t think it’s a full blown yikes. If Buchnevich has the value of a A-/B+ prospect + a 1st round pick without retention. Then sending him to the Rangers for a player swap and no firsts coming back that’s probably what the Blues would be looking for.

Wait why are oilers saying no. Doesn’t need to be Edmonton but Vrana half retained should equate at least a 5th

I don't think they plan to, but with the returns being thrown around right now, I definitely won't say it's out of the question. And you've highlighted precisely the type of offer that would at the very least get their attention.

Interested to see how February goes. I don’t think we make noise if we make the playoffs but we can sneak in and still get a 17-19 draft pick and get Jiricek. Perhaps we decide to trade Buchy at the draft to someone like the Islanders and snag that 12-14th pick to get another guy.

Drafted him right after we took Strbak, Freshman at Boston University. He's your typical stay at home D that isn't afraid of the Physical stuff. Probably won't score many points, but should be a solid stay at Home RD
